LinkedIn Anyone?
This week, I realized that PLN's are not limited to what you use at work alone. They can be your social media platforms. One social media outlet that I think crossed from business into personal is LinkedIn. I am constantly sharing articles from organizations and helpful tips focusing on my line of work. I thought it a good idea to share my LinkedIn profile. If anyone else used LinkedIn, please feel free to connect with me! I take critique very well, so any suggestion to make my profile better is always welcomed!

ReplyDeleteI don't yet have a LinkedIn, but i intend on creating a profile. I think it will be tremendously beneficial for my career. One thing you mentioned in your post, LinkedIn has crossed from business to personal, really stuck out. That is my only hesitation to having a LinkedIn account. I don't want it to be another typical social media where people are negative and hurt others. However, I do realize that I am in full control over my own page and who I follow. I'm just anxious to see how truly beneficial it will be for me in the long run.

DeleteI realize how I worded my post and I think I need to correct myself. What I mean to say is, while LinkedIn is a personal social media tool, it is extremely business/ professional oriented! I suppose I can not speak for others, but my LinkedIn is used to share helpful articles, network, and gain insight into what is happening in fields I have determined. For me, the most beneficial piece has been the articles and resources that have been shared. It has also connected me with some of my professors during undergrad. Which has been helpful as well.
